Washington Online High School Classes*

Enrolling in online public school classes at Washington Connections Academy (WACA) provides high school students the flexibility and support necessary to succeed in all aspects of their lives. The 9–12 tuition-free education features a core curriculum of science, math, social studies, and English.

Students may also choose from a wide variety of elective courses, including world languages, game design, digital photography, and marine science. Our curriculum encourages students to explore, develop a growth mind-set, and become well-rounded individuals. Honors and Advanced PlacementⓇ** classes provide the tools and challenges necessary for college success. Students in our Washington virtual high school have additional opportunities to prepare for the future through participation in college and career clubs.

Students benefit from having an individualized learning plan geared toward their own strengths and areas of challenge. They also have access to school counselors who promote personal development and academic achievement.

How Online High School Can Prepare Students for College

College and Career Planning

To make sure that the graduating class of seniors are well prepared for the transition out of virtual high school and are aware of the graduation requirements, WACA provides:

  • Full-time certified school counselors
  • Assistance creating a four-year academic plan
  • College and career planning, which includes:

    • Guidance in finding appropriate college or career opportunities
    • Financial aid and scholarship LiveLesson online workshops
    • Free access to online college admissions test preparation courses, plus test date and location information
    • Official transcripts
  • Student Advisory Council, Debate Club, and other extracurricular activities
  • Career Technical Education (CTE) coursescombining workforce skills development and college/career preparation for a customized education program. CTE courses prepare students for careers in marketing, criminal justice, finance, psychology, and more.
