Megan Lisowe

Interventionist

Megan Lisowe is an intervention specialist at our school. She began teaching in 2006 and has been making a difference in students’ lives ever since. Ms. Lisowe is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, explore new possibilities, and enjoy the journey of learning.

Why She Loves Teaching

For Ms. Lisowe, the best part of teaching is building relationships with her students and witnessing the moments when they grasp something new or achieve a goal. She has always enjoyed working with children and finds immense joy in helping them grow.

Students love Ms. Lisowe’s classes because they’re engaging and full of opportunities to chat, share, and learn together. Her interactive lessons create an environment where every student feels excited to participate and make progress.

A Good Day in Ms. Lisowe’s Online Classroom

Ms. Lisowe is excited to guide her students to success and celebrate every step along the way. A good day for her always includes a moment that makes her smile or laugh. These little joys remind her why she loves what she does.

Here are Ms. Lisowe’s words of wisdom for students: "You aren't going to be good at everything you do, and that's okay. But you can always do the best that you can do, and that is something to be proud of.”

Hobbies and Interests

When she’s not teaching, Ms. Lisowe likes to spend time caring for her horses, riding, and enjoying the outdoors. She also loves reading, in-ground gardening, and crafting, especially sewing and knitting. Ms. Lisowe’s love of literature shines in her favorite books:

  • Picture Books: The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and anything by Eve Bunting, especially The Wednesday Surprise
  • Easy Readers: The Elephant and Piggie series
  • Chapter Books: Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
  • For Middle Schoolers: The Giver by Lois Lowry

“Work to compete with yourself and your own personal best records."
