Wisconsin Connections Academy offers four-year-old kindergarten (4K), which is a tuition-free, comprehensive child development program. Through exploration and play-based activities, our quality early online learning program nurtures social and pre-academic skills that contribute to a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
What are the Benefits of 4K?
The 4K program provides young children with high-quality learning experiences that foster their natural curiosity through play. Playful exploration and language-rich environments help promote young children’s social and emotional development and problem-solving skills and are how much of their learning takes place.
Parents are involved in their child’s learning experiences and will receive training opportunities and additional resources to meet their child’s needs as well as maintain and build upon their child’s path to success in school.
4K Online Curriculum
Along with a qualified Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) licensed teacher and an engaging curriculum, Wisconsin Connections Academy’s 4K program provides the resources for early identification of potential learning needs and intervention.
- Wisconsin Connections Academy’s 4K curriculum is based on Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) and aligned with the Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten.
- The curriculum is a combination of Starfall’s Pre-K and Appleton Area School District’s 4K curriculum.
