Wisconsin Connections Academy’s flexible schedule allowed Jedidiah to pursue many of his favorite activities, including helping his parents on their family farm during the odd hours that farming requires. He loved to drive the tractor and work on machinery, which he could do at any time. Jedidiah also enjoyed participating in Wisconsin Connections Academy events. One of his favorite field trips was at the Cave of the Mounds, where he got to meet his teachers and learn about geography. He also liked to connect with teachers and classmates during the end of the year celebration at Bay Beach.

Jedidiah loved Wisconsin Connections Academy’s challenging curriculum. His favorite subject was math—he liked completing the math homework and watching the interactive videos. He also enjoyed science because he loved to learn about the way the world works. Jedidiah liked knowing that his teachers were always there to answer questions about his courses. “The teachers at Wisconsin Connections Academy were fantastic. They helped me to fully understand my homework, and allowed me to ask the questions that I needed answered,” Jedidiah said. He truly believed that his teachers were the reason he did so well.

Outside of school, Jedidiah liked to watch football, play video games, golf, geocache, and read books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Ranger’s Apprentice, and play board games. He hoped to become a mechanic or engineer in the industrial field. Jedidiah was taking classes offered at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College as part of his high school curriculum.

Jedidiah is thankful that his supportive teachers and flexible schedule at Wisconsin Connections Academy made it possible for him to have a rewarding online school experience.
