Virtual Kindergarten Program for 4-Year-Olds
Wisconsin Connections Academy offers four-year-old kindergarten (4K), which is a tuition-free, comprehensive child development program. Through exploration and play-based activities, our quality early online learning program nurtures social and pre-academic skills that contribute to a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Unlike Wisconsin Connections Academy’s K-12 program, 4K uses its own learning management system and is not a part of the student online learning platform, Connexus. In addition, computers will not be offered to 4K students. Wisconsin Connections Academy families with enrolled students in grades K–12 will receive a laptop(s), and this computer can be used for the 4K program.
What are the Benefits of 4K?
The 4K program provides young children with high-quality learning experiences that foster their natural curiosity through play. Playful exploration and language-rich environments help promote young children’s social and emotional development and problem-solving skills and are how much of their learning takes place.
Parents are involved in their child’s learning experiences and will receive training opportunities and additional resources to meet their child’s needs as well as maintain and build upon their child’s path to success in school.
