Lowcountry Connections Academy Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2026
Family and friends gathered for an in-person commencement ceremony on May 28 to honor the 163 online public school graduates
Summerville, S.C. (June 2, 2026) – Lowcountry Connections Academy, a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K-12 across South Carolina, celebrated the graduation of 163 high school seniors on Thursday, May 28. To honor the Class of 2026, family and friends of the graduating class gathered at the Columbia Convention Center to recognize their success.
Lowcountry Connections Academy’s Class of 2026 includes graduates from cities and towns across South Carolina, such as Columbia, Lancaster, Myrtle Beach, and others. Reflecting the diverse goals of the class, Lowcountry Connections Academy graduates have plans to pursue a range of postsecondary paths, including entering the workforce, attending trade schools, taking gap years, or enrolling in two- and four-year colleges. Of this graduating class, 35% intend to enroll in two-year institutions while 20% plan to attend four-year colleges or universities. Collectively, the graduates have earned nearly $1.5 million in scholarship funding.
