South Carolina Bridge Connections Academy is a fully online alternative school, specifically designed to meet the needs of students at risk of not graduating with their class or facing significant barriers to success.

Along with a high level of personalized attention, students benefit from:

  • Individualized instruction and progression plans meant to meet the unique needs of every child
  • Daily pacing tailored to their needs with the ability to take multiple courses per day or block course work in individual subject areas
  • The ability to complete additional hours of schoolwork during the week or weekends to earn credits more quickly or catch up for graduation
  • Flexible paths that allow them to focus on areas of need without retaking lessons they already understand

Graduation Requirements

Earn Your High School Diploma Online

Our 24-credit pathway offers students the opportunity to earn a traditional high school diploma. By giving them the tools, and knowledge, and support, our graduates are prepared to meet the same requirements as students who attend a traditional, brick-and-mortar school. 

South Carolina Bridge Connections Academy High School Credit Requirements

  • Language arts: 4 credits
  • Math: 4 credits (including Algebra and Geometry)
  • Science: 3 credits (including Biology)
  • Social studies: 3 credits (including U.S. History, Government, Economics)
  • Physical education: 1 credit
  • Technology: 1 credit 
  • World Language (Humanities) or Career Technical Education: 1 credit
  • Personal Finance: .5 credit 
  • Additional electives are required: 7 credits
