Our Community of Learners and Doers

Our students live in states all over the country, but they’ve all found the right learning path at our online public school. And they form a caring community that comes together online and in the real world.

All the Ways Online Students Come Together

Connecting with other students at school and in the local community is a big part of what makes Connections Academy so enriching. Your child will love all the opportunities they have to make new friends and explore their passions.

In addition to meeting with their fellow students in LiveLesson® sessions and collaborating with them on school projects, your child can join many other activities. Our virtual clubs for students give your child the chance to meet up with students with similar interests. When available, in-person field trips bring students together for great learning experiences. And the more flexible schedule gives your child time to play sports, pursue art, volunteer or do anything else they enjoy in their community.

A World to Discover

There is so much to see and do all over America. And our voluntary field trips give your child a chance to experience the amazing places that are closest to home. From historical sites to zoos, museums, the great outdoors and so much more, your child can go on adventures alongside their fellow students, exploring, learning and having fun together.

Virtual Clubs & Activities

Plenty to Get Excited About

What does your child love? Computer coding? Writing poetry? Playing chess? Maybe they want to try their hand at journalism. Or take part in a scientific experiment. Whatever their passion—whatever new interest they want to explore—they’ll likely find an online club that feels made for them.

Through our clubs, your child can build on the skills they’re learning in class while making new friends and gaining social confidence. Our clubs even offer opportunities to compete in contests at local, state and national levels. Clubs are a wonderful way for your child to learn, grow and enjoy school even more.

Designed to spark student creativity by exploring two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, photography, and graphic design through techniques and styles associated with each medium. Enables students to work with the scientific method by planning experiments and observing the world. Particular emphasis is placed on the environment, with lessons and discussions focused on keeping the planet clean and various other global issues such as alternative energy, recycling, and allocating limited resources. Students conduct experiments at home and share the processes and results with their peers. They also predict outcomes and alter variables of experiments conducted in LiveLesson sessions.

Military Family Support

Online Learning Opportunities for Those Who Serve

Family. It’s the building block of communities. And an important part of helping children develop the character and resilience they need to thrive. Which is why our Military Support Team is here to make sure military families receive the support they need to overcome the unique challenges they face and make Connections Academy the right choice for their children.

We welcome military families into our community with open arms. If you or your spouse serves in the U.S. military, we’re prepared to assist:

  • When your family transfers from a base in another state
  • If your family needs guidance when transitioning to an online environment
  • When you need information about graduation requirements
  • If your child needs extra support during a family member’s deployment
  • As you plan a transfer to an out-of-state base
  • Whenever other needs related to military service arise

Visit your state’s Connection Academy website to connect with your Military Support Team.

Virtual Graduation

Ensuring Families Can Celebrate
