School Day Expectations

At Oregon Connections Academy, you’ll love having more freedom when planning the school day. Your child can handle many of their lessons at whatever time of day works best—and their teachers are ready to lend a hand whenever you or your child needs guidance. While some tasks are on a fixed schedule, the increased flexibility of Oregon Connections Academy opens a lot of possibilities, whether your child wants more time to work on their art, practice a sport, volunteer in the community, or have more moments to themselves.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Your Role as a Learning Coach 

As your child’s Learning Coach, you’ll provide essential, day-to-day support for your student. Although the specifics of your responsibilities will shift as your child gains confidence and independence, you can expect to:  

  • monitor attendance and participation 

  • help structure your child’s day using our online scheduling tool

  • stay in touch with teachers by phone or email 

  • provide one-on-one support with learning activities
