Graduate
Kaylie Neal is a professional snowboarder who is graduating a semester early to focus on her career. She credits our school’s flexible approach to education for enabling her to pursue her passion.
At 4 years old, Kaylie took her first ride on a snowboard, and her passion for the sport has only grown since. She competed locally at age 5; clinched her first national title a year later; and at the age of 16, stepped into the professional arena. Kaylie also represented the U.S. in the 2022 Junior World Championships in Switzerland, competing with some of the world’s top teenage female snowboarders.
The flexibility of Oregon Connections Academy has played a major role in Kaylie’s success, allowing her to travel for competitions without compromising her academics. Her teachers have been right by her side, helping her remain a straight-A student while graduating early and chasing her snowboarding dreams.
Cheers to Kaylie! You’re an inspiration to us all, showing that with dedication and the right support, we can balance our passions and responsibilities beautifully.
“Without online school, I would never have had the chance to chase my dreams of becoming a professional snowboarder.”
