Why I Became a Teacher
My sister and I traveled with our grandparents a lot when we were younger. It was more of an educational experience than a vacation. Those trips made me want to learn as much as possible, and I hope to convey that spark to my students.
The Online School Experience at Arkansas Connections Academy
I love how supportive the faculty and staff are to the student, Learning Coach, and teacher. I think the students are more independent and tend to think outside the box. I believe one-on-one instruction is a huge benefit of an online school.
I’m not only a teacher at Arkansas Connections Academy, I’m also an Arkansas Connections Academy parent. The support my child has received at this school is the best thing that has ever happened to him.

My Interests
I have a 16-year-old son who attends Arkansas Connections Academy. We have a 2-year-old Boxer Shepherd mix named Marley that we adopted from the animal shelter last year. We also have a 6-year-old cat, Mawmaw Kitty. We live on the old family homestead. I like to travel, read, and spend time with my family.
