Why I Became a Teacher
I became a teacher because of the profound impact that teachers had on me when I was a student. History has always been
a passion of mine, and it’s a joy when I’m able to see that same excitement in my students.
The Online School Experience at Arkansas Connections Academy
I like being able to interact with students from all over the state. I can teach in a more direct, one-on-one setting
with many of my students—and get to know students I never would’ve had the opportunity to. During lessons, I encourage
students to take part in activities that allow them to connect with each other and with me. Playing games like The
Oregon Trail allows me to show how learning about history can be fun.
History has always been a passion of mine, and it’s a joy when I’m able to see that same excitement in my students.

Message for Prospective Families Choosing Online School
Our school is challenging, but we have a wonderful staff of teachers who are dedicated to providing a quality education
for every student. Our curriculum requires students to take ownership of their learning and helps to prepare them for
college, trade schools, and other jobs. The school teaches students that responsibility and preparation help pave the
way for success.
My Interests
I love hanging out with my wife and two-year-old daughter. We enjoy hiking, playing disc golf, video games and board
games. I’m an avid Denver Broncos fan and never miss a game.
