Why I Became a Teacher
Besides knowing at an early age that I delighted in playing school with my little sister and older brother, like most
educators, I became a teacher to make a difference in my students’ lives. However, what I found was that my students
changed me. They have taught me how to listen more than I speak. They’ve shown me that everyone is fighting a battle we
can’t see, and to not take life so seriously and have fun!
The Online School Experience at Arkansas Connections
An advantage to teaching at an online school is I’m able to interact with more families from the safety of their home
An Arkansas Connections Academy education is the way of the future. Education is quickly changing, and I believe that
students will be asked to problem-solve and work independently more. A virtual environment will prepare students for a
bright and successful future.
I’m thrilled to build a positive rapport with families in a virtual learning environment and watch students thrive at
their own pace.
