Jane is the mother of Caleb, Joshua, and Mathias, who are all graduate students of Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA). She was pleased that WCA’s interactive courses and supportive teachers were helping her children become more enthusiastic learners. Jane shares their story below:
My husband and I were extremely pleased with WCA. We have seen other virtual programs, and none can compare to this. With backgrounds in elementary and special education, my husband and I tried a traditional school and homeschooling for a number of years until we discovered WCA. This public school was the perfect fit for our family. At WCA, we could be confident that our children were receiving a high-quality education, along with the ability to work at their own pace. WCA has qualified, licensed teachers who worked with our children throughout their educational journey. Through this school, our boys received the additional help they needed in areas where they experienced difficulties and were able to move ahead where they excelled.

The teachers communicated with me and my children via WebMail, telephone, field trips, mailings, WKCE testing, and LiveLesson sessions (a virtual, live classroom). The level of communication between our children and their teachers was the very element that allowed them to receive the individualized education they needed to achieve success in school. I couldn't imagine schooling my children any other way. Throughout all of the years that we've been with this program, we watched our children thrive and excel academically.
The best part was that my children found that learning was fun. With the use of LiveLesson sessions, virtual whiteboards, video clips, and wonderful science equipment, the children got a "hands-on" approach to learning that was both interactive and exciting.
