Stacy Hayes
Elementary School Teacher
Stacy Hayes is an elementary school science teacher at Texas Connections Academy @ Houston (TCAH). She began teaching at TCAH in 2013 with eleven years of prior teaching experience. She has previously taught in a variety of school styles. Ms. Hayes shares her story below.
"I became a teacher because learning is integral to me and I want to help others find the joy of learning. The caliber of teachers and the true desire to see every student succeed is incredible here at TCAH. This school has the greatest accumulation of brilliant and dedicated people that I've ever had the privilege of working with. There are more relationships built with families here than in the traditional bricks-and-mortar school setting. I enjoy getting to know my students and being a part of their lives.
TCAH is a fabulous program with lots of perks for parents, such as being a partner in your child's education and being able to participate instead of just hearing about your child's progress secondhand. The flexibility of the program allows you the freedom to schedule school around your life instead of scheduling your life around school. With this said, it takes dedication and commitment to your student to make virtual schooling a successful choice for you and your family."
