When asked why he became a teacher, Mr. Owens said, “I believe in the importance of taking control of one’s own education, and I wanted to help students with their educational goals. The benefit of teaching at TCAH is that students are able to focus on getting tasks done and concentrate on the learning process without all of the distractions of being in a bricks-and-mortar school—no bells, no announcements, and no other students to interfere with the learning process. TCAH also allows students to be part of a well-organized and caring school while at the same time learning to manage and improve their own educational strengths.
I would like prospective families who are thinking of enrolling in TCAH to know that you and your child will be able to have a one-on-one relationship with each of the teachers. This is best compared to a doctor who sees many patients a day, but when you are with the doctor, you are his only focus. Like doctors, we have many students to monitor, but when we are helping a student, he or she our priority.
