About Pennwood Cyber Charter School’s Grade K-12 Programs
Discover how online school can help your child learn, grow, and thrive. At Pennwood Cyber Charter School, we help students in grades K-12 become confident learners while building essential connections with their families, teachers, and peers.
Through a unique combination of core courses and electives, as well as College and Career Readiness offerings for older students, our online school in Pennsylvania empowers children to find their own path—wherever life takes them.
How Much Does Pennwood Cyber Charter School Cost?
Pennwood Cyber Charter School is taxpayer funded, allowing us to provide a high-quality learning experience aligned with Pennsylvania educational standards at no cost to families.
There are no hidden fees—just like at traditional brick-and-mortar schools, families are only responsible for school supplies, optional in-person field trips, and internet. Pennwood Cyber Charter School families will receive one computer per student unless they choose to opt out.
How Does Online School Work?
Depending on their grade level and how long it takes them to master concepts and material, students spend between approximately 25–30 hours per week learning and growing. Their online learning experience includes a unique mix of independent work in our dedicated online learning portal and regularly scheduled LiveLesson® sessions with peers and their teachers. The ratio of time spent between online learning and independent offline work also varies based on grade level.
In addition, Pennwood Cyber Charter School students have the unique opportunity to spend quality time with their Learning Coach, a role typically filled by a parent or caregiver who supports their learning throughout the school day.
Through this approach, students can learn where and when work best for them—while benefiting from a strong circle of support that includes their peers, families, and talented educators.
