Pearl Suttles
Elementary Student
Pearl is a middle school student and has been attending Indiana Connections Academy for eight years. She lives with her family in southern Indiana. In addition to her school work, Pearl also has a passion for soccer, having played since she was only four years old. Pearl competes with Indiana Fire Juniors and Mount Vernon Youth Soccer Association.
Dedicating time to school and soccer may seem daunting, but to Pearl, it comes naturally. While soccer takes up a large portion of Suttles' time, she balances it with her academic responsibilities.
Since kindergarten, Pearl has relied on the convenience of online schooling to ensure she can perform her best both in the classroom and on the field. Indiana Connections Academy accommodates her practice schedule, said Pearl, and her teachers are always willing to help if she falls behind.
When asked what advice she would give to incoming students, Pearl said, "I think they [incoming students] would like it [Indiana Connections Academy] because the schedule is more flexible and if you need help you can go to the teachers when you need it."
