Why I Became an Educator
I became a teacher because I love working with children and watching them grow academically, developing skills that they will need in the future.
I attended virtual school from 8th grade through 12th grade and I loved it! That amazing opportunity allowed me to excel academically and follow my passion, and now I get to help other students do the same. Making the big jump from brick and mortar to virtual education felt natural because of my own positive experience as an online student.
Engaging Students Online
What I enjoyed most about online learning as a student was having flexibility and being able to work at my own pace. Now, I help my students experience those same opportunities. I love playing interactive games to review content because it engages them and gives them a chance to have fun with their classmates virtually.
Missouri Connections Academy provides students with opportunities they might not have otherwise. They develop skills that will take them into the future, whether academically or in postsecondary pathways, and I am grateful to be part of that process. Our teachers care deeply and work hard to help every student reach their full potential.
Some Personal Interests
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and dogs. I also enjoy traveling the world and exploring new places.
