Why I Became a Teacher
I became a teacher to help students grow in the field of mathematics. I really love to talk, teach, and learn about math. I find it to be a fascinating subject: with challenging problems, interesting history, and a tool that helps our world make sense.
The Benefits of K–12 Online Learning
I enjoy being a part of the future of education. The traditional environment hasn’t changed much compared to when I was in school and when I have taught in the traditional environment.
I think the benefit of teaching at an online school is that students are better able to work at their own pace. The world is changing; Falcon View Connections Academy and online schools are better able to embrace this change, utilize technology, and have flexibility for the modern student and their needs.
It helps students develop the skills necessary for learning in the 21st century. We are learning through technology, which is only going to increase in use and development. This provides students with the ability to use technology not just as a tool for video games and fun videos, but as an entire ocean of information at their fingertips every day.
Falcon View Connections Academy is a safe, confident, and happy place for students to grow and learn. There will be growing pains, as change is difficult, and it might not be easy, but it all will be worth it.
