Why I Became a Teacher

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and discovered my love of all things science in high school. My passion is to help students learn to love science and walk away with a better appreciation of the world around them.

One thing I especially enjoy about teaching here is the diverse group of students we have from across the metro and greater Minnesota. They challenge me to grow and learn as an educator.

The Online School Experience at Falcon View Connections Academy

For students, one of the major advantages of this school is the ability to make choices. Brick-and-mortar schools can be rigid. I think students work best when they’re given enough flexibility and choice to customize their own learning.

All the staff at this school have one goal: helping students grow. They truly care about your student’s success. Everyone here is happy to help students and families and wants to see each child thrive. This school prepares students for the future by helping them gain valuable 21st-century skills. This gives them a leg up in their future career endeavors.

My Personal Interests

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, gaming, and volunteering my electronics talents with Free Geek Twin Cities.

I’ve never met a more cohesive and friendly group of teachers in my entire career than at Falcon View Connections Academy.”
