High School Student
Eddie, an eleventh grader at Lighthouse Connections Academy, is a competitive cheerleader. He appreciates the school’s flexible approach and says, “Without this flexibility, it would be nearly impossible to do all [my extracurriculars]."
Eddie Toubassi started attending our school due to COVID-19 and reports, “My overall experience has been amazing.” He devotes many hours each week to competitive cheerleading and says, “Lighthouse Connections Academy makes that possible by allowing [students] to do our assignments at our own pace. I personally can complete my work at a pretty good rate, so it also gives me a little more time for sleeping and taking care of myself mentally.”
In addition, Eddie’s academic performance has improved with his move to online school. According to Eddie, “I was a low A, high B student, [but now] my grades are mainly As. This school has provided a lot of different resources [to help me] fully understand what I’m learning.” After he graduates, Eddie wants to attend college and plans on majoring in architecture.

“I prefer an online platform... it allows me to work at my own pace. I also learn much better online [since I can more easily] absorb all the information in a lesson.”
