Carmelita (Lita) is an eighth grader whose passion is soccer. She appreciates the flexibility of our online school because it allows her to create her own schedule and be in charge of her education.
Lita joined Lighthouse Connections Academy two years ago, during COVID-19, and soon realized she does much better learning online than in a traditional school.
Thanks to our school’s flexibility, she has the time needed to practice and play travel soccer and still succeed academically. Reports Lita, “The school has helped me feel more comfortable with making mistakes and has made it super easy to get the help that I need, without feeling uncomfortable about asking for help. Mistakes are looked at as a great learning tool, and it has helped me a lot.”
Her favorite memory of our school so far? “When I went to Mexico and still participated in school. I felt like I was able to share the experience."
