Stacey Powell is a high school math teacher at Kansas Connections Academy and has over 26 years of teaching experience. Ms. Powell joined Kansas Connections Academy when the school first opened in 2010.
Why I Became a Teacher
“In high school, I was an average student. When taking Algebra 2, I worked hard to get an ‘A’ and realized that you don’t have to be smart to learn, you just need to work at it. That was when I wanted to be a teacher and show every student they can learn. I wanted to dispel the myth of school only being for ‘smart’ kids.
