Indiana Connections Career Academy provides in-depth support to ensure that online school students understand the graduation requirements and are well prepared for life beyond high school.

High School Graduation Requirements

Students must successfully earn a minimum of 21 credits graduate and pass ISTEP+ End of Course Assessments. Be sure to check your school handbook for updates.

To graduate with the Core 40, students will need to complete the following courses:

  • Language arts: 4 credits
  • Math: 3 credits (can include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, fourth year of math, or Quantitative Reasoning course)
  • Science: 3 credits (including Biology and Integrated Chemistry/Physics, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Social studies: 3 credits (World History, U.S. History, Economics, and Government)
  • Arts and/or Humanities: 2 credits
  • Physical education/Health: 1 credit
  • College/career directed electives: 2.5 credits
  • Additional courses: 5 credits
