Indiana Connections Career Academy provides in-depth support to ensure that online school students understand the graduation requirements and are well prepared for life beyond high school.

High School Graduation Requirements

Students must successfully earn a minimum of 40 credits graduate and pass ISTEP+ End of Course Assessments. Be sure to check your school handbook for updates.

To graduate with the Core 40 diploma, students will need to complete the following courses:

  • Language arts: 4 credits
  • Math: 3 credits (must include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry; must take math or quantitative reasoning course all four years)
  • Science: (including Biology and Integrated Chemistry/Physics, Chemistry, or Physics and a third Core 40 science course)
  • Social studies: 3 credits (World History or Geography, U.S. History, Economics, and Government)
  • Physical education/Health: 1.5 credits
  • College/career directed electives: 2.5 credits
  • Additional courses: 3 credits (college and career pathway courses recommended)
