Great Lakes Learning Academy, a full-time, tuition-free, online public school for students in grades 6–12, celebrated the school’s 203 graduating high schoolers on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Okemos High School.

What’s Next for Great Lakes Learning Academy High School Graduates?
Among Great Lakes Learning Academy’s graduating class, 29 percent of graduates plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university, including Florida State University, Grand Valley State University and Wayne State University. Additionally, 13 percent plan to enter the workforce, 10 percent plan to pursue vocational training and others plan to join the military or take a gap year.
About Great Lakes Learning Academy
Great Lakes Learning Academy, authorized through Central Michigan University and supported by Pearson Virtual Schools, is a full-time online public school for students in grades 6–12. Great Lakes Learning Academy gives families an adaptable education option that meets the unique needs of every student’s learning background or circumstances. State-certified instructors specially trained to apply their skills and personality in the virtual classroom teach an engaging curriculum that lets students learn at their own pace while having the flexibility to explore a variety of enrichment opportunities such as clubs, arts, or community service.
In addition, the school provides a College and Career Readiness program for middle and high school students. This program integrates traditional academic subjects with industry-leading, career-focused options like IT, business, health sciences, and marketing and equips students with durable skills like leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork. Students can participate in career exploration and industry networking opportunities to build confidence, make connections, and find direction to prepare for their future.
