Helping Our Community Prosper
The Great Lakes Learning Academy School Board is the governing body of the Great Lakes Learning Academy charter school. Led by an independent Board of Directors, the School Board oversees the school’s operations and ensures that it’s following its mission to help students learn and grow.
The school is operated by Great Lakes Learning Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with CA of Michigan, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services.

All of the meetings for the Great Lakes Learning Academy School Board are open to the public and in compliance with Michigan open meeting laws. You’re more than welcome to attend in person and participate. Meetings are generally held at the school offices located at:

If you’re unable to attend in person, we offer the opportunity to address the board over the phone. We simply ask that you review our public comment policy. Even if you choose not to attend a meeting, our records are public and you can obtain them through a written request and the payment of processing charges as permitted by law.

Individuals seeking to request access to public records may submit a request by email to glla-publicrecordsrequest@glla.connectionsacademy.org. Requests should include a description of the records sought to assist the School in identifying responsive documents. The School will respond to all requests in accordance with applicable law.
