California Connections Academy provides in-depth support to ensure that online school students understand their graduation requirements and are well prepared for life beyond high school.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: HOW MANY CREDITS ARE NEEDED TO GRADUATE IN CALIFORNIA?
California Connections Academy high school students must successfully earn a minimum of 22 Carnegie units of credit to graduate.
The course credits required to graduate from high school in California include:
- English: 4 credits
- Math: 2 credits (including Algebra)
- Science: 3 credits (including Biology and Physical Science, Earth Science, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Social studies: Social studies: 3 credits (including World History, U.S. History, Government and Economics)
- Physical Education: 2 credits
- Humanities/Foreign Language/CTE: 1 credit
- Electives: 7 credits
