Mark Reider

Mark Reider began his career as an educator in 2015 teaching American history, which he says, “has always been a passion of mine.” He joined Arkansas Connections Academy in 2016 and rose to become head of the social studies department. He is now an assistant principal of our high school.
Why He Became an Educator
According to Mr. Reider, “Several teachers had a profound impact on me when I was a student. They helped support and guide me to achieve my goals and gave me a love for learning. I love being able to help students achieve their goals. It’s a joy to see their excitement.
“The Arkansas Connections Academy school community is special because we’re always willing to work together and lift each other up. Although our school is spread out all over the state, we’re able to provide a tight-knit community dedicated to helping every student receive a quality education.”

“This school helps prepare students for a bright future by teaching them to be responsible, hardworking, and flexible, all of which are vital tools for success. Our school is challenging and requires students to take ownership of their learning and helps prepare them for college, trade schools, and employment.”

Some Personal Interests
“I love to read, play disc golf, video games, and board games,” reports Mr. Reider. “My wife and I love listening to live music and try to go to as many concerts as possible. I spend most of my weekends hanging out with my wife and daughter and watching Denver sports teams like the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets!”
