Why I Became a Teacher

I grew up in a house with parents who loved history and passed that on to me and my sister. My dad is a retired high school social studies teacher, and my mom was the director of the museum in our town for more than 20 years. I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps after taking a U.S. history class in college. I knew I wanted to show high school students how interesting, fun, and relevant history is in our lives.

The Benefits of K‒12 Online Learning

One of the biggest benefits of an online school is the individualized instruction that I can create for my students. We’re also able to create strong relationships with our students through one-on-one discussions, small groups, and phone conversations.

I like the flexibility that Arkansas Connections Academy offers both students and teachers. Everyone at Arkansas Connections Academy cares about each other and our students. We know how important relationships are, and we strive to make lasting ones with our students and families.

The teachers at Arkansas Connections Academy are focused on helping your student to be successful.
