Why I Became a Teacher

Besides knowing at an early age that I delighted in playing school with my little sister and older brother, like most educators, I became a teacher to make a difference in my students’ lives. However, what I found was that my students changed me. They have taught me how to listen more than I speak. They’ve shown me that everyone is fighting a battle we can’t see, and to not take life so seriously and have fun!

The Online School Experience at Arkansas Connections Academy

An advantage to teaching at an online school is I’m able to interact with more families from the safety of their home without interruption.

An Arkansas Connections Academy education is the way of the future. Education is quickly changing, and I believe that students will be asked to problem-solve and work independently more. A virtual environment will prepare students for a bright and successful future.

I’m thrilled to build a positive rapport with families in a virtual learning environment and watch students thrive at their own pace.

Message for Families Interested in Online School

I encourage parents to enroll their child in an uninterrupted educational program that has shown success. I believe in Arkansas Connections Academy so much that we’ve enrolled our two boys.

Some Personal Interests

I just celebrated my 20th anniversary with my high school sweetheart this July. We have three boisterous boys that keep us on our toes. I enjoy reading, running with friends, thrift shopping, and laying out by the pool with a book in my hand.
