Field Trips of Our Wyoming Virtual School

Bringing Lessons and Friendships to Life

Wyoming Connections Academy (WYCA) virtual school offers field trips throughout the year that are both educational and fun. Whether exploring Wyoming’s frontier past at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, enjoying the present at a hayride, or considering the future at our state capital, our students connect and learn during fun, educational field trips throughout our state.

Community coordinators, parents, and teachers arrange field trips to venues such as museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, and state parks. WYCA even arranges non-school-related outings like picnics, roller skating, and more!

Virtual school field trips are excellent opportunities to meet other parents, students, and teachers face-to-face, but they also provide an opportunity to round out the virtual school experience in real-world ways. Through educational field trips, students learn life lessons that build upon their online course lessons while also making meaningful connections with their peers.

Exploring College and Beyond

WYCA offers field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and even businesses for virtual middle and high school students so they may explore and prepare for the future. The optional Career Club allows students to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them, while the College Planning Club guides high school students through the college preparation and admissions process.
