To help students prepare for life after high school, Connections Academy has introduced several college and career readiness initiatives that help teens explore potential careers while still in high school. Students can also take college courses while enrolled at Connections Academy through dual enrollment programs.
The response to these initiatives was overwhelmingly positive, with 94% of parents agreeing that Connections Academy prepares students for college and/or career success. 96% feel that their student(s) will be successful in their post-secondary plans after high school.
The college and career readiness offerings enable students to receive high school credit, industry-recognized microcredentials, and eligibility for college credit toward over 150 U.S. bachelor's degree programs though a tri-credit approach. Partnerships with professional organizations such as the Future Business Leaders of America, The Home Depot, HOSA-Future Health Professionals and the SEMI Foundation further expose students to careers across industries.
Connections Academy also partners with Credly, Coursera, Acadeum, and other industry-aligned curriculum vendors to offers students a clear path to college and career success while balancing their high school coursework.
