Mandi is a 504 Coordinator for students K-12. She has over 20 years of teaching experience and has been with South Carolina Connections Academy since 2017. Mrs. Andrade shares more below.

Why I Became a Teacher

"I knew that I wanted to be a teacher at a very young age. I used to play school a lot when I was a child. I would teach all of my baby dolls and loved to get teaching materials that my teachers would give me to take home from school. Teaching has always been my passion.

I love South Carolina Connections Academy! The family feel is like no other that I have ever experienced before. Our teachers are so helpful and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of ALL students. I enjoy the virtual platform so much more than the brick and mortar setting because of the flexibility and autonomy that it embodies.

"The curriculum at South Carolina Connections Academy is rigorous and challenges students to reach maximum potential in their educational process. Once you learn "the ropes" you will love it!”

— Mrs. Andrade

I foster engagement with my students through differentiated learning. What may not work for one student, may work for another. All students are capable of learning. It is all about finding the right method or combination of methods.

My Interests

I am very family oriented and enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs. I have 3 dogs and one daughter living at home with me. I enjoy going to the movies, shopping, and taking trips. I like all kinds of foods, but Mexican, Italian, and Japanese are among my favorites. I am also an avid Clemson Tiger Fan and love football. Go Tigers!!!"
