Readily accessible online, in person, and by phone, our counselors offer individual attention and expertise to our students and families. We help students thrive during their time with us as well as plan for their bright futures ahead. Our dedicated team of full-time, licensed school counselors offer:
- Academic goal setting, scheduling, and planning
- Personal and social development
- Future planning, including college and workforce preparation
South Carolina Connections Academy school counselors understand the importance of guidance instruction in personal/social, college/career, and academic domains.
Each school counseling program (Elementary, Middle, and High School) provides weekly lessons to students. South Carolina Connections Academy abides by state regulations and covers Erin's Law and Gavin's Law each year. Parents are given advance notice of those lessons via webmail communication.

For our students, Connections Academy is an important stepping- stone towards their future, whether that includes higher education or starting a career. Our counselors offer a wide variety of individualized services, all designed to help students prepare for their next adventure:
- personalized learning plans, focusing on each student’s unique postgraduation goals
- interactive, online LiveLesson® sessions, connecting families across the country with real-time information on financial aid and scholarships, college application processes, entrance requirements, and more
- help preparing for college admissions tests, like the SAT
- one-on-one counseling with seniors, providing resources and assistance with postsecondary planning, including career options, vocational training, and selecting the right college
- a full school profile, which will be provided when necessary for students to use when applying to colleges.
