How does Oregon online public school work?

Oregon students who enroll in Oregon online public school can learn from home via an internet connection. They study and complete online lessons independently, with parents acting as Learning Coaches. Students also communicate regularly with Oregon-certified teachers by phone, secure email, and in real time in the virtual classroom for review and instruction.

Parents work closely with their child’s online school teachers to develop an individualized learning plan that makes the most of the student’s natural abilities and bolsters any areas of weakness. The plan is updated regularly, or as often as needed, to maximize the student’s potential and help them succeed.
