Colorado Online School Options

Online school gives students a safe place to thrive and grow—excited to start each day with support from caring teachers invested in seeing students succeed at every step along the K–12 journey. Virtual school in Colorado gives you a welcoming community, high-quality education, and the chance to be a part of your child’s education as their Learning Coach.

What is online school like in Colorado?

Colorado virtual public school students attend school through our online learning portal. They access lessons and coursework, complete and turn in assignments, and interact with their virtual school peers. Students also meet with teachers for live, teacher-led group instruction and one-on-one, individualized attention. As the parent or caregiver, you’ll play an important role in online school. Parents support their student’s learning by keeping them motivated, accountable, and on track to succeed.

And because lessons are delivered online, students and families have more freedom to set a learning schedule that works best for their family. As long as students finish lessons and coursework on time, they have more room in the day to pursue their individual skills and interests.

The big difference between online school and homeschool is that parents in online school aren’t the primary teachers. With Colorado online school, parents act as Learning Coaches. They monitor progress and grades, communicate as needed with teachers, and motivate their students to stay on track.

There are certified teachers who work with students, providing instruction and tailoring the curriculum to give each student a personalized learning plan. And Colorado virtual school gives families a comprehensive, approved, high-quality curriculum for students in grades K–12. Parents don’t have to select and pay for the curriculum and make sure that it meets their student’s needs.
