Why I Became an Educator

My parents were both educators, so I was introduced to the profession at a very early age. I was always interested in helping others learn, even as a student.

The Online School Experience at Rhode Island Connections Academy

I feel like the students at Rhode Island Connections Academy really thrive with the personalized learning experience we provide. I enjoy seeing students, some of whom may have struggled in the past, reach their academic potential.

I think the most important part of our approach is the low teacher-student ratio. Each of the teachers at Rhode Island Connections Academy is able to form strong relationships with their students as a result. From my perspective, I love communicating with students and caretakers in an effort to make students feel good about themselves and thrive academically.

Message for Families Considering Online School

The difference between a brick-and-mortar school and Rhode Island Connections Academy is the personalized learning experience that we provide. Students can work at their own pace in an environment that makes them comfortable.

There is a certain level of independence that students enjoy while enrolled at Rhode Island Connections Academy. With that independence comes self-discipline. I believe both of these traits will help prepare students for the future.

Each of the teachers at Rhode Island Connections Academy is able to form strong relationships with their students.
