Non-consumable learning materials and computer equipment may be supplied by your school and is on loan during enrollment. Materials listed below must be returned upon withdrawal, graduation, or at the request of the school:
We do not ask for the return of these consumable items: printers, used workbooks, opened kits, headsets, webcams, and Wi-Fi adapters.
Returning school-provided materials is easier than ever! Refer to our helpful return tips and Computer Packing Procedures below for guidance on initiating your return.
After packaging school-provided materials, locate the authorized UPS Drop-Off point nearest you and drop off your package(s).
Prepaid UPS return label weights are standardized at 9 lbs; you will not incur a charge from UPS for packages weighing more than 9 lbs. Additionally, Connections Academy does not provide packaging materials or reimburse for packaging costs.
What should I do if my labels have a weight of 9 lbs. but my box weighs more?

Can I combine multiple students' books into one box?
Yes, you may combine books from more than one student in one box. However, please do not combine computer equipment and books in the same box.
What are consumable materials?
Consumable materials are materials that can not be reused and we do not request back: printers, used workbooks, opened kits, headsets, webcams, and Wi-Fi adapters.
My student wrote on a returnable item (textbook, novel, storybook). Should I still return it?
Yes, please return all textbooks, novels, storybooks, and picture books sent to your student, even if they have written on them.
I already returned my materials. Why am I still receiving communications?
It does take time for UPS to provide us with updated shipping records. Our communications will stop once we receive that confirmation from UPS. We appreciate your patience with this process.
How do I request return labels?
Scroll to the Requesting Labels section at the top of this page. Click on the blue “Pearson Returns Site” button. That will take you to the Guest Log In page. Click the “I’m not a robot” check box, then follow the instructions to the left of the Shipping Information form.
What materials need to be returned?

If I paid for my return, do I get reimbursed?
Unfortunately, no. Connections Academy does not reimburse out of pocket expenses for packaging and/or shipping costs.
Are boxes provided for returns?
Caretakers are responsible for keeping all packaging materials provided by Connections Academy and returning all materials in its original packaging. If the original packaging is not available, Caretakers must purchase replacement packaging.
What should I do if I don't have a printer to print the return labels that were emailed to me?
You can request return labels in a different format. Scroll to the Requesting Labels section at the top of this page to review our different label delivery options and choose the one that would work best for your return.
I have multiple students. Does it matter which label I put on what box?
Labels are linked to the household. We send the appropriate number of return labels for materials that need to be returned based on the number of students in your household. Each label has an item type at the bottom (i.e., “BOOKS” or “COMPUTER”). Please find that item type and affix the appropriate label to each box according to its contents. Please do not package books and computer equipment together.
Can I return the items to the local office?
Unfortunately, no. The local office does not distribute materials, and therefore can not accept returns. Materials need to be shipped back to the warehouse where they can be re-allocated to another student.
If my student is repeating the same grade next year, do I have to return the materials?
Yes. Even if a student is repeating a grade next year, non-consumable learning materials received this past school year must be returned. Students will receive new course materials before the start of the upcoming school year.
If my student is in Connections Academy summer school, do I return the materials now?
Students attending Connections Academy summer school courses may retain school-loaned books and computer equipment until the last day of summer school. Once summer school ends, families are expected to return Connections Academy materials.
If my student is returning for the upcoming school year, do I need to return the computer?
No. Students returning to Connections Academy for the next school year should not return school-loaned computer equipment. All non-returning students must return school-loaned computer equipment and materials.
