About Tiffani Donnelly, Manager of Special Populations

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a child. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student learn something new, especially when they have struggled and finally master a skill with the right support. That ah-ha moment when their confidence grows is pure joy. I began working with Connections Academy in 2025.

As the Manager of Special Populations, I work every day to advocate for the unique needs of my amazing students. Ensuring they receive the right services and supports so they can thrive is my favorite part of my job. I also love our students’ kindness, dedication, and resilience. Even in a virtual setting, we build strong, meaningful relationships that help students feel seen and supported

Why I Became an Educator

I chose education because helping students grow brings me genuine joy. Being part of a student's learning journey, especially when they reach a breakthrough, reminds me why this work matters so much.

“There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student experience that ah-ha moment when everything finally clicks.”

The Online School Experience at Willamette Connections Academy

Online school offers flexibility, personalization, and access. Our virtual model lets students learn in the environment that works best for them while still receiving high-quality instruction. We communicate frequently with families and provide real-time academic and social-emotional support. We also create community through face-to-face events like our Fall Festival, hiking outings, and bowling, which help families feel connected and supported.

How We Help Prepare Students for Life

Willamette Connections Academy prepares students by developing both academic skills and real-world readiness. Students learn to manage their time, use technology responsibly, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their learning. These strengths help them grow into confident, capable learners ready for college, careers, and life.
