“We learned about Connections Academy from a friend. Previously we homeschooled Gavin because of his vision, but decided to start looking into online schools for the 2017–18 school year. When we checked out Minnesota Connections Academy, we really liked what we read and thought it would be a good fit.

My husband, Don, was really looking forward to being a Learning Coach for Gavin, but he passed away shortly after the 2017 school year started. Without the support of the teachers I feel Gavin would not have done well at all that year. Whenever I have a question or concern, I can call or send a WebMail message to the teacher. They are always willing to help resolve the concern in a very timely manner.

The whole program fit with our schedules. We loved how flexible the curriculum and teachers are. The teachers are amazing to work with and always respond quickly when you have a question or problem. I love how they work with us, so Gavin gets the most out of the lessons.

Minnesota Connections Academy just fits! What a truly great program!

The program works very well and Gavin is a straight A student. I feel this is because the teachers are really on top of things and work hard to help students when they don’t understand something. Gavin enjoys the LiveLesson® sessions very much—the teachers keep them interesting.

Gavin likes to ski and Spirit Mountain in Duluth has a homeschool class that fits in with our schedule. He also loves being in hip hop dance and does a home school class one day a month at the Lake Superior Zoo. We can do all these things easily with Gavin’s school schedule. He gets his lessons done early when he has an outside activity. He is very good at managing his time.

My son isn’t sure what he wants to do in the future, but Minnesota Connections Academy has great opportunities for him to keep exploring. He enjoys looking at different clubs and things of interest that the school offers. I feel that with the positive learning experiences that Minnesota Connections Academy has, Gavin will learn and grow to be a successful young person.”
