Jason Holman
Middle School
Jason Holman is a middle school student at TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA). After searching for alternative options, his family found that online learning suited Jason’s educational needs. Jason’s teachers are impressed with the progress that he is making. His grandmother and Learning Coach shares his story below:
"Since he was unhappy in his traditional public school, Jason became interested in alternative schooling options. After months of searching, we came across information about TECCA. Jason and I both have a wonderful relationship with his teacher, Ms. Moore; she is always available to talk whenever we need help. His favorite subjects are science and social studies because he enjoys learning about the world around him. Jason also enjoys sending WebMails to his classmates and being a member of TECCA’s chess club. What we like best about TECCA is that there are no distractions when you learn from home. Jason is now able to take breaks when he wants or take a whole day off and continue his classwork another day.
Outside of school, Jason enjoys karate, which he attends three times a week. He also plays baseball for our town’s little league. Jason especially loves pets and enjoys taking care of them. He even has a pet duck named Egret."
What we like best about TECCA is that there are no distractions when you work from home.
