About TECCA’s Grade K–12 Programs
Discover how online school can help your child learn, grow, and thrive. At TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA), we help students in grades K–12 become confident learners and build essential connections with their families, teachers, and peers.
Through a unique combination of core courses and electives, as well as a College & Career Readiness offering for older students, our online school in Massachusetts empowers children to find their own path—wherever life takes them.
How Does Online School Work?
Depending on their grade level and how long it takes them to master concepts and material, students spend between approximately 25–30 hours per week learning and growing. Their online learning experience includes a unique mix of independent work in our dedicated online learning portal and regularly scheduled LiveLesson® sessions with peers and their teachers. The ratio of time spent between online learning and independent, offline work also varies based on grade level.
In addition, TECCA students have the unique opportunity to spend valuable quality time with their Learning Coach, a role typically filled by a parent or caregiver who supports their learning throughout the school day.
Through this approach, students can learn where and when works best for them—while benefiting from a strong circle of support that includes their peers, families, and talented educators.
