Paul Walrod

As manager of counseling services at Kansas Connections Academy, Paul Walrod draws on a wealth of experience to help our students thrive. He is in his 32nd year in education —all in Kansas! He has been a teacher, a school counselor, and a principal before joining the Kansas Connections Academy staff. The 2024-25 school year is his 11th year with Kansas Connections Academy. Mr. Walrod holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Science degree in School Counseling, both from Pittsburg State University. He completed his building leadership studies and licensure through Baker University.
Mr. Walrod says he cannot think of any occupation that could be better than working with students and their families! He is happy to do anything he can to help them be successful and healthy at school. He is most impressed with the Kansas Connections Academy staff’s abilities in all capacities. Mr. Walrod is available to assist students with academics and social needs, as well as college and career needs. He works directly with grades 11-12.
