Mary Kastendieck joined Kansas Connections Academy in 2015. She has over 37 years of teaching experience and is currently a high school advisory teacher.

“Being a teacher is my dream job. When attending school as a student, there were so many caring and inspirational teachers who made a big impact in my life. I wanted to follow in their footsteps and help students achieve their goals. I enjoy the daily conversations and interactions with students and families, as well as the challenge of finding the best way to reach out to each and every student to help them be successful.

I enjoy working at Kansas Connections Academy because of the many opportunities it provides to make a difference in students’ lives. Our team of dedicated and caring staff members are student-focused and are continually working to find the best way to reach each student. We believe that every student can be successful, and we strive daily to make that happen. In addition, our students and families are amazing, and I enjoy the opportunities to work with students individually. The Kansas Connections Academy community is very special because the staff, students, and parents all work together as a team for student success and to make good things happen.
