Iowa Connections Academy is Tuition-Free (Yes, really!)

One of the most common questions we are asked by prospective families is “How much does Iowa Connections Academy tuition cost?” The answer is: absolutely nothing. Here, your student will gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in a changing world, at no tuition cost to you.

Similar to a traditional brick-and-mortar school, Connections Academy® receives funding directly from the state, allowing us to provide students with a high-quality learning experience, aligned with Iowa educational standards, at no cost to families. There are no hidden fees—families are only responsible for covering school supplies, optional in-person field trips, and computer & internet. See available technology options for Iowa families.

Funding Source	No cost to families. Educational costs are covered by the student's resident school district and the CAM Community School District.	No cost to families. Educational costs are covered by the Department of Education.

Which Technology Is Included?

Computers

Iowa Connections Academy families are responsible for providing their own computer.

Please make sure to check our minimum computer requirements.

A limited number of laptops may be available for households that request and are approved for a technology hardship exception. Any computer equipment supplied by the school is on loan during enrollment and must be returned upon withdrawal, graduation, or at the request of the school. Please refer to your school handbook for details. The handbook is available after the initial enrollment registration.

Internet

Iowa Connections Academy households are responsible for providing their own Internet service.

A limited number of internet service subsidies may be available for households that request and are approved for a technology hardship exception. Please refer to the school handbook for the payment schedule details. The handbook is available after initial registration.
