Norah Flatley

Graduate Student

Norah Flatley is a graduate from Iowa Connections Academy. As a devoted gymnast with Olympic dreams, Norah, along with her family, chose Connections Academy for the flexible schedule that would enable her to pursue a quality education and her athletic goals at the same time. Norah tells her story below.

“I moved from Wisconsin to West Des Moines, Iowa, two years ago to train at Chow’s Gymnastics, home of Olympians Shawn Johnson and Gabby Douglas. I train 29 hours a week and go to the U.S. Olympic Training Center once a month in Houston to train under the national staff. I am passionate about gymnastics and hope to represent the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

To support my goals and dreams of being an Elite gymnast, my parents chose Iowa Connections Academy. This school gives me a flexible learning environment, a high-quality curriculum, and teacher support. Social studies is my favorite subject.”

What I like most about Iowa Connections Academy is that it allows me to balance academics with the pursuit of my dreams in gymnastics.
