COLLEGE CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES
Earning Transferrable College Credits with Pearson Accelerated Pathways
- online, self-paced courses, with the ability to complete lessons and assessments on your student’s own schedule
- a curated selection of courses that provides for both high school and college credit
- free, individualized college counseling to help determine which courses best fit your student’s interests and future plans
To participate, students must meet minimum GPA requirements and receive preapproval from their school counselor. Eligible Indiana Connections Career Academy students are invited to take one Pearson Accelerated Pathways course per academic year free of charge to be completed in the enrolled term. Indiana Connections Career Academy supports high school students with workforce and career readiness activities, academic and career counseling, CTE programs, and opportunities for real-world experience. From various course selections and counseling to access to career centers and employment opportunities, Indiana Connections Career Academy ensures students have every opportunity to prepare for whatever’s next. We provide:
- Help finding postgraduate opportunities at colleges, at trade schools, and in the appropriate career
- Workforce readiness activities, including resume and interview skills development
- Online workshops to teach students about the application process to universities, community colleges, and trade schools
- Workshops on financial aid and scholarships
- Access to free preparation for college admission tests, including information about upcoming test dates and locations
- Official transcripts
Dual Credit Program
DUAL CREDIT PROGRAM
Preparing Indiana High School Students for College
High-achieving Indiana Connections Career Academy students in grades 11–12 may be eligible to earn college credits through our dual credit program in partnership with Trine University. Students may take up to three courses from Trine University for free, which includes tuition, books, and other fees. The dual-credit courses are taught by Indiana Tech professors. Here’s what you need to know to get started:
- Eleventh and twelfth grade students must be enrolled in Indiana Connections Career Academy for at least one semester prior to qualifying for dual credit courses.
- Qualifying college-prep test scores may be required for some courses.
- Contact your school counselor for more details and to sign up for a dual credit information session.

A college degree gets students ready for a successful future. And, at Indiana Connections Career Academy, we get students ready for college. We offer a range of Honors and Advanced Placement® courses along with plenty of online clubs for students. And we help students build the personal responsibility and love of learning they’ll need to get into—and excel at—whatever college they choose.
Students interested in college prep enjoy plenty of support along the way. Their teachers embrace their goals, and counselors guide them through the college selection and application process. Plus, our online learning environment is similar to what many colleges use, meaning our students are ready to hit the (digital) ground running.

If you have a child in grades 6—12 and need help deciding between the two schools, please take our short quiz.
