Why I Became an Educator
Says Ms. Sprouse, “I became an educator because I love helping people and encouraging them to overcome obstacles and have a better future.” Her favorite time of the school year is graduation, since it offers the opportunity to watch the culmination of her students’ success.
The Online Experience at Great Lakes Learning Academy
According to Ms. Sprouse, this school is a welcoming community for everyone—families, students, and teachers. The teachers are the first line of that welcoming community since they have the most interaction with families, but everyone plays a part in making sure families feel like they matter.
She says that what makes our online school different from a traditional brick-and-mortar setting is “being able to meet kids where they are. We help students achieve their goals without the added pressure of in-person learning.”
