Our Colorado Virtual School Field Trips

Bringing Lessons and Friendships to Life

Colorado Connections Academy online schools offer field trips throughout the year that are both educational and fun. From the mystery of the Anasazi at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings to the history of the dinosaur at Triceratops Trail, from the physics behind the Six Flags roller coaster to the geologic forces that created Pikes Peak and the Cave of the Winds.

Community coordinators, parents, and teachers arrange field trips to venues such as museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, and state parks. We also have non-school-related outings like picnics, roller skating, and more!

School field trips are excellent opportunities to meet other parents, students, and teachers in Colorado face-to-face, but they also provide an opportunity to round out the virtual school experience in real-world ways. Through field trips, students learn life lessons that build upon their course lessons while also making meaningful connections with their peers.

Exploring College and Beyond

Colorado Connections Academy offers field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and even businesses for online middle and high school students so they may explore and prepare for the future. The optional Career Club allows students to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them, while the College Planning Club guides high school students through the college preparation and admissions process.
